Jack spoke to us about the process he goes through when writing. His main source of ideas are from pictures, which he then elaborates using the 5 W’s. Jack also spoke about how he likes to take objects from the real world, mix them up and then put them into his books.

The afternoon ended with a question and answer session, before a book signing. It was a really interesting afternoon which sparked lots of ideas in us and another successful author visit at Beanfield!

Miss. Carey, who organised the visit said “The children were so engaged during the talk and were able to show their enthusiasm throughout the show. We are so lucky to have authors like Jack Trelawny come to visit us and give us ideas for our own writing, which we can take away and use.”
