National Storytelling Week at Beanfield

At school we celebrated by dedicating Monday’s KS1 and KS2 assemblies to Mr. Smith and Mrs. Eathorne sharing extracts from their favourite stories.

What is National Storytelling Week?

2019 marks the nineteenth anniversary of National Storytelling Week –
This is a celebration of the oral tradition of storytelling. Many of these stories have been passed down through generations and across cultures for centuries.

National Storytelling Week is celebrated by all ages with the telling of folk tales, fairy lore, phantoms, dragons, serpents, lost treasure and found fortunes. A good teller will spin a tale of intrigue and mystery.
