Beanfield Primary School

Reading group creates E-books

A small group of Miss Carey's Beanfield Book Buzz reading group were lucky enough to spend an afternoon creating E-Books on the school Community Code.

A small group of Miss Carey's Beanfield Book Buzz reading group were lucky enough to spend an afternoon creating E-Books on the school Community Code.

They began the session by looking at existing E-books and then used the school learn pads to create their own E-books explaining our five school values. This included writing their own text and taking pictures to upload into the book. Afterwards, they shared the finished books with the rest of the school.

Miss Carey said, 'We believe reading is so important at Beanfield and I am always looking for new ways to encourage children to develop a love of reading. E-Books are becoming more and more popular, so I wanted to show the students that books don't have to always be paper based. The group had a great time and worked so well together to put their books together. They were extremley proud of their work and couldn't wait to show others what they had made'.
