Job Title: Catering Assistant
Location: Oakley Vale Primary School and Compass Primary Academy
Salary: BWT Grade 1, point 1, full time equivalent (FTE) salary- £19,254 pro rata’d- £4,355.
Hours per week / Weeks per year: 10 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Actual working hours to be agreed at interview.
About the Catering Assistant role
We have the opportunity to appoint two Catering Assistants to join our Primary catering team. Our catering team provide fresh hot and cold food to students and staff across four schools within the Brooke Weston Trust across Corby and Kettering. You will assist with all aspects of food preparation, food service, kitchen and canteen hygiene and teaching opportunities with students in a busy and demanding environment. The ideal candidate may already have experience working in a school catering environment, however it is essential that any candidate will share our vision to provide an enjoyable and safe environment during lunch times and dismiss the age-old notion that school dinners are bad! Travel between sites may also be required.
