Description

Mathletics and Spellodrome Breakfast Club

Who For: Years 1 to 6

Time: 8.00 - 8.40am

Leader: Mrs Cox

Location: Key Stage 2 Computer Suite

Children are able to access the fun, interactive, ICT based Mathletics and Spellodrome programme in the Key Stage 2 computer suite. This club will allow the children to improve their maths skills at their own pace and complete any Mathletics or Spellodrome homework they may have. They will be supported by our amazing teaching assistant Mrs Cox.

Mathletics Lunch Club

Who For: Year 3

Time: 12.15 - 12.45pm

Leader: KS2 Staff

Location: Key Stage 2 Computer Suite

An opportunity for children to work on the Mathletics programme either completing homework or activities.

Places are available each day at lunch time on a first come, first served basis. Children do not need to be signed up for this club.

Tag Rugby

Who For: Years 3 to 6

Time: 3.20 - 4.15pm

Leader: Mr Chisholm

Location:Key Stage 2 Playground/Field

Team training and games to develop a LKS2 and UKS2 team.  This will lead to teams being put together to compete in local competitions.

Homework Club

Who For: Years 1 & 2

Time: 3.20 - 4.30pm

Leader: Mrs Collins

Location: Key Stage 2 Computer Suite

Children can come along and complete their homework with support from our experienced staff Mrs Collins and Mr Chisholm in the KS2 Computer Suite.

Arts Award Club

Who For: Years 5 & 6

Time: 3.20 - 4.30pm

Leader: Mr Reilly and Miss Wallington

Location: Miss Wallington's Classroom (3A)

This is an exciting arts project where you will take part in lots of different arts activities and discover the arts around you through music, drama, art, creative writing, photography or dance... you will have the choice! You will also work towards achieving an Arts Award - a nationally recognised award.

Football Club

Who For: Years 3 & 4

Time: 3.20- 4.15pm

Leader: Corby Town Football Coaches

Location: Key Stage 2 Playground

This is an exciting opportunity for the students of Beanfield Primary School as they will be coached by fully trained FA Registered Coaches and students will gain a vast amount of football knowledge and skills.  Our Football Clubs have proven to also aid in their social development, confidence and fitness levels.

KS1/2 Gymnastics

Who For: Years 1 to 6

Time: 3.30 - 4.30pm

Leader: Pacesetters

Location: Key Stage 1 Hall

All children will work towards their Key Steps British Gymnastics Awards, which include floor-work such as rolls, handstands, headstands, cartwheels, jumps, basic gymnastics shapes and apparatus work (including bench and the vault).

Library Club

Who For: Years 1 to 6

Time: 8.00 - 8.40am

Leader: Miss Mahil and Miss Nelson

Location: Library

An ideal opportunity for children who may struggle to find time to read at home, to be able to reach our school expectation of reading a minimum of three times a week. It is also a fantastic chance for children to start the day by being able to snuggle down with a book before the school day starts.

Who For: Year 4 to 6

Location: Wellbeing Intervention Room

If you enjoy playing the recorder and learning new pieces of music then this is for you. We’ll develop our musical skills whilst playing together as a group.

Story and Craft Club

Who For: Reception & Year 1

Time: 3.15pm - 3.45pm

Leader: Miss Cross

Location: Nursery Classroom

Children will read a story and create a piece of art and craft work linked to the story using various tools and techniques. They will look at famous authors and use their ideas within their own work. They will be able to take home what they make - unless it needs to dry or kept for a display!

Netball

Who For: Year 3 to 4

Time: 3.20pm - 4.15pm

Leader: Mrs Callaghan

Location: Key Stage 2 Hall

Children will develop their Netball skills and team work with a view to building a Year 3/4 Netball team to compete in local competitions against other schools.

Homework Club

Who For: Years 3 to 6

During the football club children will learn the different types of rules and tactics involved, whilst learning to tackle, pass and shoot for goal.

Glee Club

Who For: Year 4 to 6

BOOKING AVAILABLE FROM MONDAY 10TH FEBRUARY

Children will come together to learn and practise a range of different songs to prepare for the Summer Spectacular held in July. To be part of Glee children need to show commitment with their attendance. ‚ÄčIf your child is already in Glee there is no need to book again. Places are limited.

PLEASE NOTE, GLEE REHEARSALS WILL NOT START UNTIL FRIDAY 28TH OF FEBRUARY

Dodge ball club

Who for: Year 3 to 6

Time: 3.30pm- 3.40pm

Leader: Corby Dodge ball club

Location: Key Stage 2 Hall

Children will develop their Dodge ball skills and team work. They will learn the different types of throws, rules and tactics involved whilst learning to dodge, duck, dip and dive.
