Our Vision & Values
Our six core values are the principles we want to instill in our children to ensure they know how to operate successfully in school, in their local community and as responsible, successful citizens in the world. They provide a framework within which children, parents and staff operate and this common language leads to openness, a shared understanding of our goals and a collaborative approach to children’s learning.
Each half-term we have a value of the term.

In school, we expect to see children embodying these values by doing the following:
Kindness
• We are kind and compassionate to everyone.
• We understand the importance of helping others and we show gratitude towards those who are kind to us.
• We are aware of our own needs, and we are kind to oneself.
Community
• We are proud to be members of the Beanfield community.
• We take responsibility for our part in maintaining a happy, successful school community.
• We value everyone’s contributions to our school community.
Aspiration
• We are aspirational and we can articulate our dreams and goals.
• We understand that we must work hard to achieve our goals.
• We work hard to achieve our personal targets and we actively support and encourage others to achieve theirs.
Respect
• We take pride and have confidence in ourselves.
• We show consideration for the views, rights and feelings of others.
• We value and appreciate our differences and our similarities.
Resilience
• We embrace challenges and understand why it is important to challenge ourselves.
• We look positively for solutions when faced with setbacks.
• We understand that mistakes and setbacks are learning opportunities.
Curiosity
• We are curious about the world around us both within and outside of the curriculum.
• We are inquisitive and value our learning.
• We are self-motivated individuals.
