Nursery

Welcome to Beanfield Primary School Nursery

At Beanfield Primary School, we want every child to have a happy and positive start to their education.

Our Nursery provides a welcoming, caring and stimulating environment where children can learn through play, develop their independence, build friendships and grow in confidence.

We welcome enquiries from families who are considering Beanfield Primary School Nursery for their child.

When Can My Child Start Nursery?

Children can join our Nursery in the September, January or April following their third birthday.

We offer a range of Nursery sessions to meet the needs of our children and families:

  • Morning session: 9:00am to 12:00pm
  • Afternoon session: 12:00pm to 3:00pm
  • Full day: 9:00am to 3:00pm

Funded Nursery Places

15 Hours Funded Childcare

All children are entitled to 15 hours of funded early education per week from the term following their third birthday.

30 Hours Funded Childcare

Some families may be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare, depending on their circumstances and eligibility.

Parents are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid entitlement to any additional funded hours and for providing the school with the information required to confirm their eligibility.

Charges for Full-Time Places

For children attending full time whose place is not fully covered by 30-hour funding, there is a charge of £12.50 per day

All Nursery fees must be paid in advance through WisePay.

We ask parents and carers to ensure that payments are kept up to date.

Additional Charges

We want to be clear and transparent with families about any costs associated with attending our Nursery.

Consumables

We do not currently charge parents for consumables used during the Nursery day.

Please be aware that this is subject to change. If we introduce a charge for consumables in the future, we will communicate this clearly with parents and carers.

Lunchtime and School Dinners

Children who attend Nursery for a full day (9:00am to 3:00pm) have the option to:

  • have a school dinner, which should be booked and paid for through WisePay; or
  • bring a packed lunch from home.
Allergies and Packed Lunches

Beanfield Primary School is an allergen-aware school.

We ask parents and carers to help us keep all our children safe by avoiding nut products in packed lunches and snacks brought into school.

If your child has a food allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement, please ensure that the school is made aware so that we can support them appropriately.

How to Apply for a Nursery Place

If you are interested in applying for a place at Beanfield Primary School Nursery, you can collect a Nursery admission form from the school reception or request one by emailing admin@beanfieldprimary.org.

Completed forms should be returned to the school. As part of the admissions process, parents and carers will also be required to provide their child’s original birth certificate for the school to check.

Please be aware that submitting an application does not guarantee a Nursery place. Places and requested sessions are subject to availability.

Information provided as part of your application will be handled in accordance with the school’s Privacy Notice and UK data protection legislation.

Reception Admissions

A Nursery place does not automatically guarantee a Reception place at Beanfield Primary School.

Parents and carers will still need to make a separate application for a Reception place through the appropriate school admissions process.
