  • Remembrance Day

    Every year the whole school comes together to share in our Remembrance Day assembly in which we remind ourselves of why we wear our poppies and the great sacrifice that so many have made as part of our armed forces over the years.  This year's assembly was lead by Miss Wallington and children reflected on why we hold a two minute silence, the significance of the last post and shared the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae.

  • Parliament Week

    We all took part in a UK Parliament Week activity which involved all classes from Nursery to Year 6. We firstly spent some time learning about UK Government and how it works before then focusing on local government and our local political figures.   • Hello Yellow!

    Children and staff across the school wore yellow on Friday 8th October to mark World Mental Health day on Sunday 10th October.  

    On the day it's, children and staff shared the different things they were doing to look after their mental health including lots of members of the school community going on long walks in the lovely autumn sunshine, a fair amount of biscuit and cake eating and lots of spending time with family and friends.

  • Roald Dahl Day - 13th September

    To celebrate Roald Dahl Day, Years 1 to 6 took part in a range of activities learning about the great author himself, listening to some of his stories and then using them as a stimulus for our work.
