  • Remembrance Day

    Published 11/11/21, by Julia Dickinson

Every year the whole school comes together to share in our Remembrance Day assembly in which we remind ourselves of why we wear our poppies and the great sacrifice that so many have made as part of our armed forces over the years.  This year's assembly was lead by Miss Wallington and children reflected on why we hold a two minute silence, the significance of the last post and shared the poem In Flanders Fields by John McCrae.

Click on the attachment below to see the slides that were shared with children during our assembly.

We all took part in a UK Parliament Week activity which involved all classes from Nursery to Year 6. We firstly spent some time learning about UK Government and how it works before then focusing on local government and our local political figures. Read our write up below to find out more and see what we've been up to.
